Gerry loved Ann. He was her soul-mate. When he passed away, and Ann was able, she went through Gerry's clothes and selected her favorite shirts and handkerchiefs that he often used and wore so a quilt could be made.
To honor Gary's heritage we formed his clothing into the Mexican Star quilt. The all over stitching is Roses and Feathers as Ann's favorite flower is the rose. This particular quilt is about 68" square and is backed in solid black Minky. Minky is a great cuddle fabric when you need comfort.
Ann has received the quilt and now when she sees the quilt will be reminded of the times he wore the different shirts, stuck the handkerchief in his shirt pocket, and hugged her. There are a lot of memories held in these clothes and she can now wrap herself in thoughts of him with the clothes he wore.
